Ban Moo Si School (Year 3)
Nakhon Ratchasima Province

In 2025, The Build Foundation, in collaboration with the Chef Cares Foundation and a dedicated network of Thai and international volunteers, returned to Ban Moo Si School in Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, for the third consecutive year. This ongoing initiative reflects our shared commitment to expanding educational opportunities, strengthening communities, and improving quality of life through sustainable, long-term development.

This year, volunteers from around the world worked together to thoughtfully restore the school’s aging classroom building, transforming it into a safe, structurally sound, and welcoming learning environment while carefully preserving its original architectural character. The surrounding campus was also revitalized with upgraded gardens, playgrounds, and restroom facilities, creating a cleaner, safer, and more inspiring space for students. Vibrant murals depicting the rich biodiversity of Khao Yai now brighten the school walls, fostering creativity while strengthening children’s connection to nature and their local environment.

A major milestone of this year’s project was the launch of the Build Skills Lab, the school’s first integrated vocational learning center, an initiative envisioned by Khun Marisa Chearavanont. More than a training facility, the Build Skills Lab represents a vision to transform Ban Moo Si School into a true community learning hub where education extends beyond the classroom and empowers people of all generations.

The center brings together practical learning across multiple disciplines, including English language skills, the responsible application of AI technology, culinary arts and bakery training, and the development of locally inspired food products that celebrate the region’s identity and support the continued growth of Khao Yai’s tourism economy.

By equipping young people and community members with relevant, future-ready skills, the Build Skills Lab helps create pathways to meaningful employment, sustainable livelihoods, and greater self-reliance—ensuring that education becomes a lasting foundation for opportunity and community resilience.
