Over 10 hours, The Build foundation made its way to journey in order to develop education and quality of life of people living in highland at the Hill Areas Education Center Ban Tee Long, Na Kian, Omkoi, Chiang Mai. We started our journey from Chiang Mai city to Omkoi district. Moving forward to Baan Tee Long arduously because roads were covered with lateritic soil and mud alternately. Furthermore, we had to manage to climb up and come down hills. Skillful driving was needed but the team has never been disheartened. Everyone is more than happy and determined to reach their destination to accomplish their objective.

As their vehicle moved to Baa Tee Long slowly, we found villagers waiting excitedly. Most villagers living here were Karen people (Tee Long Krong means water flows into stream, its water flows northward.) They said no one came, gave them a help and developed their education. The team managed to walk surveying surrounding area and found that their education building was built with lath simply and assembled all class student crowdedly. When raining season came, rain splashed against students. When winter cam, it also could not protect children from cold inadequately.

After talking briefly, The Build foundation’s working team started constructing education building, a half cement and half wood, with 3 studying rooms so that education would yield effectiveness. The new building was roofed with roof-tiles and toilet and they gave equipment and digital media True Plookpanya included 29 inch TV together with the red cabinet (equipment cabinet), receiver True Visions contained with knowledge channels, True Click Life digital media for Computer subject for kindergarten - grade 6, 8 Learning Substance Groups and Sufficiency Game digital media. It included additional teaching aids namely table, chair, blackboard and sporting goods. The satellite internet system was installed, classroom decoration and school building painting and external building landscape design. After construction finished, it was not only provide satisfaction, smile and happiness for children, but also The Build foundation received gratefulness from villagers. They deemed the stuffs given by us as a community’s public domain that they would protect it carefully.
