The Build Foundation continued its mission to improve the quality of life and expand educational opportunities for Thai youth by supporting the development of Ban Moosi School, located in Moo Si Subdistrict, Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The school, which serves 155 students and 12 teachers and staff, is situated near Khao Yai National Park and functions as a community learning hub for the area.

The primary goal of this mission was to renovate an over-54-year-old classroom building that holds both historical and educational significance, having served generations of local students. The building had deteriorated to the point where it posed safety concerns. In response, The Build Foundation, together with Thai and international volunteers, carried out structural improvements based on the principle of “preserving as much of the original as possible.” This included retaining the original framework, matching the building’s original color tone, and maintaining architectural details that reflect the community’s deep connection to the school. At the same time, updates were made to enhance safety, aesthetics, and functionality in alignment with modern teaching and learning needs.

The renovated space now includes classrooms for Grades 1–3, a teacher’s office, and a bright, open-concept library designed to foster a love of reading among young learners.

The four-day mission also featured creative and outdoor learning activities in the natural surroundings of Khao Yai, promoting cross-cultural friendships between students and volunteers from around the world.

In addition, The Build Foundation partnered with the Chef Cares Foundation to renovate the school’s canteen to meet health and safety standards. They also hosted hands-on cooking workshops led by professional chefs, aiming to spark inspiration and develop vocational skills among students.

This initiative was made possible through the support of key partners, including Vin Varavarn Architects, who ensured that the design respected local culture and context, and Charoenkrung Engineering Co., Ltd., who helped install a solar power system to reduce electricity costs and promote clean energy use.
