The Hill Areas Education Center (HAE) Ban Mae Haed is located in remote area, far from urban growth as well as limitation about transportation. Consequently, this education center has never been developed as it should be. The Build foundation studied their problems and found that the education building was dilapidated and educational material and teaching aid was insufficient as comparing to student number. Furthermore, learning media and informal self-study books were not diversified and enough for learning skill training.

As identified the problems, The Build foundation arranged fundraising and journeyed to help. The Build foundation constructed a concrete education building with 3 studying rooms. The new building was roofed with roof-tiles and toilet and gave equipment and digital media True Plookpanya included 29 inch TV together with the red cabinet (equipment cabinet), receiver True Visions contained with knowledge channels, True Click Life digital media for Computer subject for kindergarten - grade 6, 8 Learning Substance Groups and Sufficiency Game digital media. It included additional teaching aids namely table, chair, blackboard and sporting goods. The satellite internet system was installed, classroom decoration and education building painting and external building landscape design.

At present, Ban Mae Haed HAE is acknowledged, Some external support flows to the center for development until it can utilize facilities such as telephone, satellite TV for education and internet. Moreover, Ban Mae Haed HAE students has comparative education and sport competence comparing to urban student or student in big school. It is awarded from various institutions such as Best School prize from Office of Non-formal and Informal Education Sop Moei, Mae Hong Son. The District Excellent Teacher and Provincial Excellent Teacher prize and the teacher is also awarded with “Princess Galyani Vadhana’s Teacher Prize” from Phra Metta Somdet Ya project in order to publicize their achievement and glorify teacher working in remote area and sacrificing personal happiness for public as benefaction ideal for Thai society.
